Superb shooting. The nailed it video is awesome. A 4.5 mm pellet hitting a 6.24 mm nail. That's some state of the art hammering. Thanks for sharing bennedose & Moulindo

Due to the size of the original file, i was unable to upload it. Hence compressed the video. Excuse the low resolution.

Another one more addition to the Video line up.
For information purpose
I have made a video on the Stripping Down of the Rear Sight of my IHP 35 .177
This video was intended to make all beginners able to fix their own rear sight problem

Wow !!
Can rotation of pellet be captured by colouring one side of it in slow motion ??

It can be done Basu. Some of the videos posted earlier on this thread have captured the pellet in motion. But we will need a professional level slow motion camera capable of capturing HD images at 5000 FPS minimum to capture rotation of pellets. The cost can be quite prohibitive.

Actually - to see an air rifle pellet in slow motion - I think 20,000 frames per is better. Currently those are very expensive. The reason is as follows. I have made many videos using a 1000 frames per sec camera. Each frame lasts 1/1000 second. A pellet moving at 150 meters/sec (about 500 fps) will have moved about 6 inches in 1/1000 of a second and appears as a grey coloured line. Even at 5000 frames per sec the pellet would have moved more than 1 inch and will still look like a 1 inch long grey coloured line. Only at frame rates like 20-25000 frames per second can we really watch pellets rotating. I have made a couple of 1000 fps videos where the rotation is just visible - but I have used a trick using Basu's suggection plus video at an angle where the pellet is visible for the longest possible time. Maybe I will post those videos.

I have seen the pellet in flight even recording with a normal digital camera and slow motioned using movie maker.
But the point is that I used a scope camera setup. :)

Yes. Normal video cameras will freeze the pellet. But you will still not see it spinning because the frame rate is too low. Slow motion will only slow down an already slow frame rate.
