The khuks are awesome!! Unfortunately, the "Survivor" (9" khuk - the black one in Moin's pics), has a part of the sheath broken, probably in transit - the wood inside is cracked into 2 pieces. So, just when I was running out of DIYs, I get a new one!! Recreate a khukri sheath with hard leather instead of wood.

Brihaji, darshan will happen whenever we meet.......just say the word!
Cheers!

Wow they are beautiful. Well I also like knives and recently my brother gifted me one folder hunting knife. I have been a huge fan of kukris and was wondering what are the blade laws in bombay? Well, they are pretty crappy here in Washington state :(

Hello everyone
I went to nepal recently. I bought some kukris. I bought them from ex gurkha khukri house (www.nepalkhukurihouse.com) . I reached the shop by calling them on the mob no. they have given on their site. I already have some knowledge about kukris. I started selecting kukri. .........The seller at the shop did not know the names of the models properly like afghan etc. They were just selling. So when we order kukris online, they sends a kukri which looks similar to our ordered kukri. So a kukri may be different from shown picture.
I selected a teen chirra kukri and started bargaining . I got that for rs. 2500 indian currency . The quality of kukri is great. Then I checked on site which model is this. The length of blade is 10.5 inch and the kukri on their site is http://www.nepalkhukurihouse.com/468/Pa ... -Kukri.php . The price is 65 dollars on site and I got the kukri for 40 dollars.
So there are no fix prices. They are manufacturing kukris at dirt cheap prices and selling for so high.............. Always bargain before buying even if you orders online...
