Oh what FUN it’s to PUN!!!
Oh what FUN it’s to PUN!!!
Here are the responses from great Scientists & Philosophers, when invited to an International Conference:
* Newton said he'd DROP in.
* Descartes said he'd THINK about it.
* Ohm RESISTED the idea.
* Boyle said he was under too much PRESSURE.
* Darwin said he'd wait to see what EVOLVED.
* Pierre and Marie Curie RADIATED enthusiasm.
* Volta was ELECTRIFIED at the prospect
* Ampere was worried he wasn't CURRENT.
* Edison thought it would be ILLUMINATING.
* Einstein said it would be RELATIVELY easy to attend.
* Archimedes was BUOYANT at the thought.
* Morse said, "I'll be there on the DOT. Can't stop now, must DASH."
* Hertz said he planned to attend with greater FREQUENCY in the future.
* Watt thought it would be a good way to let off STEAM.
* Wilbur Wright accepted, provided he and Orville could get a FLIGHT.
* Finally – Our own Aryabhatta ZEROED in...

And when Briha came home, he found the door locked. "Please, O- PUN the door and let me in," he said.

I loved it Timmy, not only for what it conveyed but also for the spontaneity with which you respondedtimmy wrote:I hoped you would like it, Brihaji!
To me to be blessed with a sense of humor is the greatest gift I cherish....
Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not; a sense of humor to console him for what he is.
Francis Bacon
The more subtle the humor the more hilarious it turns out to be...
> Two friends are drinking at a bar...
> After several tipples, they are plastered beyond senses...
> Then all of a sudden the bartender's pet monkey jumps on to the bar & makes faces at them & disappears...
> One of the tipplers looks quizzically at the other & says in a slur...
> I know Tom what you're thinking... You're thinking that I saw a monkey jump on top of the bar & made faces at us....
> Well "I DIDN'T"

This thread reminds me of the gent that sent all his friends twenty different puns in the hope that ten of them would make them laugh.
No pun in ten did.
No pun in ten did.

I once heard about a cannibal who walked to town and passed his neighbor on the trail.

Once John Dunlop the tyre tycoon saw Groucho Marx at a social event & walked up to him & said....
Hi Groucho I believe that you are great punster- can you make one on my name?
Without batting an eyelid Groucho replied - "Remove the Lop & its Done" (Dunlop)

The newly married cannibal daughter visits her mother and says "Mom, I can never cook as well as you do". so the Mother asks what happened and the daughter says "I cooked up a couple of missionaries last week and they came out all tough and stringy, we could hardly eat them!"
So the Mother asks, "Well, how did you cook them?"
"In the large pot with vegetables, just like you do"
To which the Mother replies "Well there is your problem Dear, those were fryers!"

Oh, Mark, that one was in bad taste!
It reminds me of the story I heard of two cows, who were in a field eating a bale of hay.
One cow said, hay, there's another cow.
