.25 cal pellet availability?
Does anybody know any dealer who sells .25 cal air rifle pellets? I'm fast running out and need to stock up.
Is importing pellets by post allowed from Cabelas etc?
Regards,
Yaj.

I haven't heard of any Indian .25 make. The Koreans make decent ones and pyramyd air might be the way to go. You might just have to risk one pack to see what happens.Yaj";p="21523 wrote: Does anybody know any dealer who sells .25 cal air rifle pellets? I'm fast running out and need to stock up.

p.s. Rusty has written somewhere that you can import em along with the air rifle. And you can justify the purchase to customs saying that they aren't available locally.

You could try but you are taking a chance. Also, one would be restricted to .177" calibre pellets as that is the only airgun calibre that is permitted as an import via post or courier.dev";p="21535 wrote:p.s. In India there is no legal restriction on the calibre of air-rifles. However, there is a restriction on power levels, which is measured by the so called deal wood penetration test...
So a .25 cal air-rifle would be perfectly legal, so long as it passes the deal wood test. Which I may add should not be very difficult to do. However as other members have pointed out - you cannot mail order one, as that notification is limited to only .177 cal airguns. Also, even if you get one back with you in baggage, finding pellets is not going to be easy...
Best to stick to .177 or .22 as pellets for both these calibres are available in India...
Cheers!

Re: .25 cal pellet availability?
If i am not wrong Master company use to make .25 pellets. Dealer use to call them number 3 pellet as .177 number 1 and .22 as number 2 but i've never seen a .25 air rifle.
I am talking of times when master shot use to be Rs7 per packet and they use to come in a cardbox box. (How much .22 master shot cost nowdays BTW)
I don't think they make them anymore..

Re: .25 cal pellet availability?
Just curious to see how a .25 cal pellet compares with a .22
Next time your nephew comes down to Bangalore, please send one or two along with him.
Old William had a lot to do with many things. I think I will preserve my sanity and await the surprise.
Thanks.
