planning to buy a Glock or Beretta..advice needed

Post by shyboy » Sun Aug 17, 2014 3:24 pm

greetings,
Am planning to buy a pistol in the us. will have it brought in later via TR .
Which would be a good choice for humid indian weather? I am eyeing a sub compact Glock 42.
Which bore is advisable considering the ammo issues that we have here.
Thanks and regards.

I suggest that you should first check to see whether you will be able to find .389 ACP in India -- you may find the supplies questionable.

Yes, sir, I did mean 380!

Why do they have to put the "9" key next to the "0" key? :-)

but can you bring the pistol to india, considering the ban on import? by the way I have a Glock 25 and a 85 FS cheetah beretta which I have got it auctioned from the govt. glock is working fine but the cheetah is having problem, its nickel coating is peeling off and the metal I think is corroding and its giving a very bad look. I am really at lost what to do, so if you can get the Glock forget the beretta. my view point.

Yes with TRansfer of residence NRI can import pistols or gun one piece only and once only. Unlucky ones have their guns impounded or stolen by GOI :deadhorse:

Ngrewal sorry for the late reply.. i got it auction from the govt. You need to first find the weapon and close the court case attach to it. I bought the Glock for just 2.3lakh all including court case and weapon rate. Deepends on state govt and ifluence. FS cheeta was bit high 2.5lakh. Many people got M20 also.... but it all depends on the state govt.
