Wilderness of the Sunderban's

Post by StampMaster » Fri Jun 27, 2014 12:47 pm

Tiger snatches man off boat and leaps into the jungle.

A person with his 2 children travelling in a small boat for fishing was attacked by a tiger, which was stalking on them for some. All this happened in a flash..

I saw this in another, but similar article: http://www.mercurynews.com/nation-world ... s-man-away

This must be a very traumatic experience. How can it end? People will be people, and try to make a living on the edges, where they can. Tigers will be tigers. It is a very difficult situation.

Unfortunately, this is the way Humans and Tigers live together in Sunderban.

Tragic. The bigger tragedy is that this will continue to happen. These majestic animals need their space and so do the human denizens. It's about time the government looked at sustainable solutions for these people. The forest rightfully belongs to the Tigers but surely the government can try to create alternate sources of revenue for these poor folk so that they don't have to venture into the Tigers den.
