SRK,

Welcome to IFG. The gun is definitely Belgian. The chamber length is 65mm,BTW.I hope 70mm cartridges are not used in this one.

Have you checked on the barrels for the maker's name? Do post a few clear photos of the barrels.

Best-
Vikram

Any information as to the maker, or seller, will be found on the top rib, not on the barrel flats among the proof marks. Seems to be one of the trade guns produced in Liege for various retailers.

SRK,

Timmy was referring to Sharukh Khan.

Your gun looks like it was made between 1893-1924 (most likely, going by the proof marks). It is nitroproof. If it is only blackpowder proof, it would explode when nitro loads are used. By the looks of it, it is most likely a guild/trade gun made in Liege, as TwoRivers said earlier. Has a Greener style crossbolt. You should not use 70mm cartridges in a gun with 65mm long chambers. It will load and fire them but it will eventually go off face, etc. You would not want that to happen. Also, there seems to be a lot of pitting on the barrels. It may be a good idea to have the gun cleaned up by someone who knows what he does.JMO.

Sorry, SRK, I was just teasing you a little about your name -- I do like Shahrukh, BTW.
