Re: pic of one in my collection
Another one of my collection, a Rajasthani Katar. Always wanted to own one. Though it does not have any ornamentation, the blade is quite sharp and functional.
Another observation, 3'' wide grip is not enough for a fist. I will now try to find a better Katar than this which is comfortable to hold.

Encouraged by the fellow members, collections, posting a pic of one of the best in my collection. More to follow afterwards. Blade is damascus with Camel bone handle, with little Gold koftagari near the hilt. Non sharpened, 12'' long.

Hi,Goswami...superb dagger...medieval piece...undoubtedly from late mughal period if I am not wrong. The period in which these type of daggers were forged Damascus was after the invasion of Baber according to Tuzk E Babri( Babernama). The inlay work is Pipal Pattiya that was very prominent of Mughal era.The bone hilt is made of camel looks very akin to the description. Awesome collection.
Good Luck.

Re: pic of one in my collection
another addition to my collection, will be posting more soon. a double blade bichuwa. Traditionally Bichwa or Bichuwa were very light weight, easy concealed and their typical shape ensured no loss of the blade even if the fist is opened, reason for their preference by kings, commoners and thief's alike. The current one is more ornamental with carvings over the hand guard.
