Took pictures of this German beauty with its owner's permission while being at a local armoury for an election deposit. Failed to note down the manufacturer's name, though. Experts/veterans/knowledgeable persons kindly chip in.
Thanks,
Ebenezer

Ebenezer,
I could be wrong but it looks like a military Mauser stripped of the barrel wood work and restocked locally.

It's a 12 bore shotgun with a
2-shot magazine. Very rare to find in this part of the country!

Ebenezer,
One lives and learns. I was wondering about the absence of irons sights, etc. I took a wild guess. Thanks for letting us know. I have never seen a 12-bore shotgun built on a Mauser action.

Re: ID please!
Thanks for the picture Ebenezer. Very rare indeed from an Indian context.
It is probably a Geha shotgun or some variant. Google Geha Mauser shotgun and there is plenty of info available.

Thanks Vikram and herb. I am in the process of gathering information about the gun from the owner as well.
