Fishing on lake Michigan

Post by conty1 » Sun Jun 17, 2007 4:46 pm

It was real early morning we got to the harbor. 5 AM! go started at 5:30 and started getting bites almost immediately. What happened in the next 4 hours was just awesome! :) Lots of big monsters fighting us and we having to use all the strength we got in our hands and almost giving up sometimes even before the big fish was in the net. The beer helped a bit to keep the energy up tho! Rest in pictures and videos:

Those are Slamon, and a nice bunch of them too!

I'm assuming coho slamon?

Also, I've spent quite a bit of time at North Point Marina in years past when I lived in Waukegan, nice to see a picture of it (I believe that is "Skipper Buds" in the background).

7 of them 9 are Cohos. There's 2 Steelheads in there as well. I know the biggest one is. Dunno which one of the others it is :P They are so similar!

Very nice pics and video. Unfortunately, I had a guest from abroad and could not join. If you gentlemen have a second trip planned, I'll do my best to join.

Cheers!
