Rupesh,

The customs duty is 35% on the total value (includes shipping and insurance cost).

You may NOT import a .22" calibre air-rifle via post or courier.

For any further details please do a search for old threads in the airgun and arms law sections as your questions have been answered before.

Hi Guys

I wanted to give you a quick update on BAR. As some of you know, the couriers we are using (TNT) have had some issues with items we are sending. Here is what we have come up with:

We can send any Legal airgun , we have to take the stock off the gun so its doesn't cause a problem if the parcel is x-rayed
We are sending air pistols by royal mail , its cheaper, quick and no problems encountered at all yet.

Our shop had been very busy so sorry for the lack of website updates, forum posts and slower than normal e-mail responses. But I do want to say thankyou all for your custom. Its very appreciated :D

Hi Lloyd,

Just a question, can u export the fac version to countries without any restriction on power output of airguns like to us in India provided its in .177 caliber?

Thanks

Hunter

At the moment it is very time consuming for us to export a high power airgun. We have to apply for an export license for each shipment which can take up to 4 weeks and hours of paperwork. Soon we may have an open export license if we are lucky which basically means we can ship without individual licenses and will make the process easy and very quick. Fingers crossed :)

Hi Lloyd,

Many thanks for that quick reply. I am not too sure if our shooters in India would want to be saddled with a non FAC airgun, since our laws do permit us to own full power versions.
But nevertheless lets hope that you are granted the neccessary permissions soon enough to export full power versions to countries who do not have any restrictions . With so much of positive feedback on your services I am sure you will find many more customers from our end.

ps:For all new Indian shooters, the UK has laws that restrict air rifles to max of 12 flt.lbs of muzzle energy and air-pistols to 6 flt.lbs or below.Anything above that has to be classified as a firearm, hence the term F.A.C.(fire arms certificate).

Warm Regards//Clarence

Atleast it is something that can be understood by everybody.

Hunter,

You are wrong in assuming that all air rifles are excluded from the provisions of the Arms Act.Only such air rifles/pistols/guns that can NOT penetrate a board of a certain thickness from a specific distance out of a certain no. of attempts are excluded from the provisions of the Arms Act . Please find out the details from previous posts.Gets boring typing out the same thing again and again.

 What gave you that impression mate?

Don't believe me? then look behind and spot a long queue of people waiting to order the Weirauch pistols, (specially after the Mack The Knife/Ranjit duel :D )

Hi penpusher,
I am aware of the "deal wood free of knots and of a certain thickness

Edited not to give ideas to snoopers.Exercise caution please.

When I imported my BSA approx 5 years ago,the customs requested me to verify with the police if it was really an airgun. The arms dept.only dry fired it(much to my horror)and promptly gave me a N.O.C.to be presented to the customs.I am sure nothing much has changed since then.

Take care.

Saahil,

A shooter is only permitted to import an air-pistol/rifle or firearm for the event in which he has achieved the Minimum Qualifying Score (MQS).
