Maneka Gandhi is facing a court case under section 394 (voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code (IPC), the affidavit said.

eh well a good rifle does come in handy to keep out wild dogs from the compound.

Hypocrisy at its best! IIRC some years back there was a news article about one/ more handguns she had on her license that had gone "missing". If that happened to any ordinary person he/she would be made to walk on hot coals by the authorities! Of course all of that red tape and the rules are applicable only to the "mango man", no rules apply to the power elite...

There will be no change. What we (Indians in general) mean by change in "government" is just a change in the party in power. And they are all dyed in the same wool. An unarmed lot of "sheeple" is far more beneficial to our Brown Sahib Raj than an intelligent, armed one!
