Re: My little collection :)
Thank you for replies
please do not insult them by calling them tools
they are my seniors , we value them a lot and they have very special place in our hearts
As per the details , i got the sri sahib from nihang singhs in punjab
i doubt they would sell to anyone except a sikh.
but its only made from khamani

Re: My little collection :)
The sword is probably made in Amritsar and the hilt is from Ludhiana.
Got several of them made for my clients.
Easy job.

A mans strength and wisdom is much like a fine sword, refined by fire folded by a expert craftsman and finally when you have a perfect sword or man you are sharpened and honed and you never loose your edge if your Maker is God the Father.

Re: My little collection :)
the hilt as you can see has a very thin disk in bottom
while performing a cut , it hurts the wrist,
i will have it changed latter to a better one which is more thick and doesnt hurt while performing a slash

btw, is it legal to own swords without a license? AFAIK, anything larger than 6" blade is prohibited

Nice collection Anonymusneo, I specifically liked the old Tegha and Totapuri.anonymusneo wrote:the hilt as you can see has a very thing disk in bottom

Could you post the pic of the modification that you have got done by replacing the disk pommel. (even i face a similar problem while performing a cut with my Tegha and i m looking for a good solution)

Re: My little collection :)
This collection of knives and swords seems to be medieval and ancient at first look. Can you tell me how old are these knives and swords.anonymusneo wrote:Hi,
heres my little collection
the rusty sword below is of my grandpaa , his brother made it for him -this sword is 40-50 years old , was made from spring steel
although its not that good in craftmanship , it still retains its edge
- the dagger on left is jagdhapuri - its puratan jadapuri - atleast i was told that
it has deers bone in handle(forgive me i dont know much of technical terms)
-the 2nd sword was also told to me that is a puratan shastar . i dont know if it is or not , but has a great balance

the below weapons are new, i bought them from nihangs in punjab. The Sri Sahib ( kirpan/tega) below is razor sharp when i bought it . hope to join their battalion soon
The totapuri and pech kabz here have plastic handle .

Nice collection !
As a knife enthusiast, I love to collect antique knives.
And I would like to suggest you to have some kukri to be included in your collection as well.
