Weapon endorsement on AL during elections

Post by supershaji » Tue Mar 11, 2014 11:15 pm

Hello.

I wanted to know if AL holders can endorse new guns on their Arms Licence during the election period (when guns are to be deposited), or is that suspended too till the end of elections?

Hi Peacefulguns,

You mean you got a weapon endorsed on your AL after the election date was announced?

"al" in Arabic would mean something close to the word "the" in English.

Over here, its the abbreviated form of our ever loving 'Arms License'. :)

On the contrary my feathered friend, it makes you 'Al-Smart', for the wisest have said that the best cure for ignorance is to question.

Well, the expiry for the PP in question expires before the Election results are out, but I guess, like someone else suggested, that the endorsements would be allowed - take the weapon from to armoury to the Authorities for endorsement on AL, and then deposit the same until the elections are over.

During this time, only fresh license issuing would be suspended, as far as my understanding goes.
