Is ammunition available for this calibre in India if yes where to find it and any Idea about the price would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.

finding this is like hens teeth search. If you search the forum, there was another member who was looking for the same and not sure if they found it or not

This calibre new ammunition is not available in India, you might find some old ammunition, but can't predict about it's fire power.

You would have to find out which of the many .450/.400 cartridge your rifle takes. Kynoch of UK manufactures some of these catridges.

The .450/.400 is one of the rifle calibres whose cartridges are permitted to be imported into India by the Director General of Foreign Trade. A dealer can import these cartridges for you. Alternatively, if you travel abroad, you can bring back 50 cartridges without payment of import duty. You can bring more, if the limit on your licence is higher, on payment of duty.

All the best.
