NOC/ Carry permit

Dear all,
I have to collect revolver from Chandigarh soon.

As per call letter, I have to collect noc
from my licensing authority at pathankot.

The dealing clerk is asking me to give application for carry permit.

Is it one and the same thing? I hope i'm not troubled at Chandigarh!

Please advise soon as time is at premium. If I can get a format, nothing like it.

Micky do you have to collect the Revolver from IOF depot at the Ordnance Cable factory or from a dealer ???,there was a circular issued by PB Govt that A.L holders of PB are allowed to purchase weapons from Dealers without T L or NOCs.If you get the NOC,the TL/carry permit will be issued by the Office of D M CHD under whose jurisdiction you have bought the said weapon from.The T.L itself acts like a carry permit.Hope this helps.Best Amit
