Mack The Knife,
Saw the H&H at Asian armoury today. Was looking for reels in NR road. The dealer was surprised when I recognised the rifle in his showcase. The dealer claimed that one couldn't get .375 ammo.Is that true?

Nopes, not true - it is expensive though, the choice is limited and not all dealers would have it in stock, but AFAIK it is available... Unless he means .375 flanged cartridges, used in double rifles... I believe those are really difficult to get a hold of... One of Mack The Knife's friend's seems to have .375 double, maybe he can shed some additional light on this topic...Pran";p="17052 wrote:The dealer claimed that one couldn't get .375 ammo.Is that true?

Sujay, I have no idea which aesthetically challenged twit commissioned this work and even if I did, there's no reason to stand on formality. Fire away!
Mack The Knife
Mack The Knife,
Just like in a classic Agatha Christie mystery, the clues have been under our eyes all this time!
I simply took your image:
And concentrated on it while standing on my head, and the mystery suddenly became clear!
Gentlemen, the fox is hiding among us right here in the henhouse!
It is..........
Mehul Kamdar!

Going cheap? A gorgeous piece of art like that? It belongs in a museum to the folly of man.

Did the original owner belong to Ranchi? I came across a .22 LR Brno rifle similarly decorated which was given to a friend's wife by her father, a very enthusiastic shikaari of his time. It is lying in Mumbai now. The pattern is very similar and I even inquired with her when I saw her Brno. But she could not remember as they had too many fire arms in the family then.
Just probing for fun. Maybe I could tell you the original owners name.
