Re: PICTURE HEAVY - Some Knives in my collection
Here is my Buck 470 Mentor. A fixed blade knife that is sadly, no longer in production. This was one of the cheap hunting knives that Buck introduced. Built with extreme attention to cost cutting ...this knife has a bead blast finish. The steel on this blade is 420 HC, and at least Buck did not scrimp on that. The heat treat on this is also supposed to be very good.
The blade is about 5 inches in length and it has a rubberised handle that is surprisingly comfortable. The blade is hollow ground. The sheath is really cheap.
The design of the blade is superb. Very good ergonomics. Lots of belly. A fine tip for close work. The tip is strong too. The blade is thin, so it is really low in weight. The finger choil allows for really fine work and this blade really takes a sharp edge. The forward sweep, really helps in cutting.
This is a good hunting, fishing or general purpose knife. Good in food preparation tasks too.

Re: PICTURE HEAVY - Some Knives in my collection
This is The CHURI from Khukuri House. Great value for money blade. Cost be about 2000 rupees only. The steel is truck leaf spring. It is hand forged, but I can assure you that the heat treat is good. I am giving pictures of the Churi below. The blade is almost a quarter of an inch thick and I have put a vinegar and mustard patina on the blade, since it has a tendency to rust and gather spots. I then convexed the knife and the entire bevel is going to get a mirror polish ....still work in progress... This has been my practice knife for convexing. This knife has beautiful forward heft and a very slight recurve at the belly. Great blade for camping. The sheath is absolutely terrible though...but suffices.

Re: PICTURE HEAVY - Some Knives in my collection
I have been busy for sometime and not posted. Here is a continuation of this trail
This is the Rick Hargis Bulldog EDC. One of my favourite blades. It has gorgeous micarta handles and red liners. The knife is compact and perfect for camping. I have added a patina on it to protect from rust. The steel is 1095 high carbon. Love the ergonomics and the sexy lines on this.
The Glock 78 is an outstanding field knife. Its new and I dont think it will be used. It came with a very poor edge...but it takes and insane edge on the Spyderco Sharpmaker. This is definitely a fighting knife and I love the Desert Camo dress
The Boker Rambler is my better half's EDC. I wanted her to have a small fixed blade that can be used for EDC as well as basic self defence. The Rambler is perfect for the job. Its designed by Austrian bladesmith Raimund Lhotak
The Cold Steel Amedican Lawman is one of my favourite tactical knives. This blade has double choils. And has a very ergonomic handle. Just perfect for camp work or self defence. It has one of the toughest locks in the business and the hollow ground drop point blade is wickedly sharp.

Lovely additions to your treasure trove Slingshot....
Love the Bulldog and the patina work. SUPERB
The others, specially the one for the lady, are great blades.
I got the Glock too, but in olive green. Try throwing it... sticks like hell
