Thanks Lawman... I also guessed that the holster was a good foreign make. Please post some closeups of the revolver and the rig someday for us.

Cheers

hi
my father is having a mauser werke AG obernoff a/n .423 bore (10.75 x 68 caliber) rifle. we are having a problem of not finding its ammo as dealers says that manufacturing of the same is not active now. so he wants to sell the rifle but do not have any idea of what should be the expected price of the rifle. also suggest which rifles should be replaced against this rifle

The scenario is really bad if the manufacturing of the ammo has been totally stopped in that case you should sell the weapon asap and the price would be really heart breaking for you won't sell more than 30-40k. If the ammos are in production and are not available in India then in that case should sell between 60k to the maximum of 100k. Go for IOF 30 06 it's a decent rifle that one could get in that price range in India

I’ll shoot the rifle next Sunday at our club range in Serampore after produceing the same before the District Magistrate. The price of the rifle is now Rs. 42,084/-. I’ll post the pictures as soon as possible.

My father previously owned 22 IOF, I had a lot of fun shooting that rifle very sturdy very basic a copy of CZ BRNO. But for the price nothing like it. I remember my Father had got it at around 16,000/- around 15 years back only recently he has sold the rifle and got another.

Congratulations on this latest addition to your arsenal, its certainly beautiful - thanks for the pictures!

You've mentioned the price @ Rs. 42,084/-, and the approx waiting period of 6 months.

How was the experience at the Ishapore factory for pick up and also, how was the entire booking to delivery procedure?

If I'm right, this rifle uses rim-fire cartridges, how much does each cost?

Biren wrote:Congrats... Also write how it compares with previously sold .22 iof? Has the IOF improved or bettered the quality?
Cheers
Biren
@ Biren, Incase Lawman doesn't have experience with the old IOF .22, it would be a good idea to ask him to tell us about specific issues, so that he may investigate and inform, in order for you to assess.
