Congrats on the IHP, I guess looks are not the priority here(although they would' nt hurt ). But your grouping seems to be pretty good. I guess from now on it will be all about fine tuning "fitting" the rifle to yourself. I guess you could add chequering or alter the shape of the fore end or pistol grip.

@Anand: Exactly i think the next few weeks is me trying to get to know teh gun better, i at every shoot adjust the gun to make it more comfortable and make it feel more like an extension of myself. Group by group i can see improvement, a small thing like the trigger distance makes a huge difference.

I appreciate your interest . I need some more clarification .
how did you place the order?
How is the bore rifling?
Do they give the pump along with rifle?
how many shot can use at one time Air storage ?
is it worth for your money

Thanks for the share, though!
Rishu, Dont feel bad and dont take it personally, there is nothing you or me can do ..but IHP people should seriously think about the finishing of their product. I am not sure about it performance , but surely this is one of awful looking gun I have ever seen in my life. I hope the gun wont perform the way as it looks ..and will shoot one hole group in 10M.
First time posting here, I just got back from Gujarat State Championship and have seen a shooter playing ISSF scoring almost 560 using this. I am already thinking of buying this one.

Re: My New IHP Compressed Air Rifle - Experience
Hi Guys, I finally bought this rifle a month ago. Just a quick stats. I have fired maximum of 120~130 shots from completely full to completely empty. Although it is not recommended to go for completely empty. I will comment on accuracy when I am confident about my own accuracy .
It rifle is not too bad for a bigginer.

If I need to make holes in a target sheet like that I walk up to the sheet and use a pencil to punch one hole.

Re: My New IHP Compressed Air Rifle - Experience
Congrats on the new acquisitions......if you don't have the books already, I strongly suggest one or more of the following.....
Anand's book
Rifle. Steps to success by Launi Myli
Ways of the rifle by Abhinav Bindra and others.
Use air rifle targets for practice not air pistol targets......And practice indoors preferably at a 10mtr range......
All the best.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

The only problem i faced with PCP is to get good quality Compressed air filled in my scuba cylinder. I ended up filling 80% Nitrogen and 20% Oxygen. I usually fill 140~145 bar and it drops about 40 Bar after may around 60 shots. I use either excite econ or match finale. Excite Econ is the economical range of H&N pellets that also make Match Finale. Excite Econ is slightly lighter than Match Finale, the weight is approximately .48gms (or 7.48grains). I practice on standard 10m range at our club.
I am overall satisfied with the performance of the Rifle. As i said in my earlier post - once i am convinced that i have achieved the maximum accuracy i am going to continue using Ihp.
Regards
Prasad

Re: My New IHP Compressed Air Rifle - Experience
Believe me that 560 fps is more than what most target rifles are regulated to. 80 shots per fill is excellent, will see you through the match and sighters.rishudhawan wrote:@Subal das : i have not yet sighted this in, will do over the week sometime, this is mostly out of the box with just minor fiddling.
@dev: Yes its a straight shooter, i am pretty happy with it. The power is decent, Ive shot about 80 shots without refilling and all seems well. Of course the fps is regulated to about 560. I only had the pistol targets, so was using those, will print some rifle targets today and have another round tomorrow.
I hope that you are enjoying yourself, that is all that matters.
regards,
Dev
