Thanks for the encouraging words Sir.

I was not more than 10 yards away from the owlet when I took the picture..?.However the Blue Bull was quite far away...around 100-120yards..the 15X Optical Zoom did came in handy..I encountered it during one of my early morning walk in the forest (along with a guide). Funny thing is I encounter wild animals almost every weekend..Here in Lucknow there's a small stretch of Forest cover just behind my Hostel..I can see the jungle out my window as I am writing..

I occasionally go on walks...trek inside the jungle on weekends. Multiple number of times I have seen herd of Blue bulls quite nearby..couple of times I have almost walked in between them without realizing it because of the thick foliage..it's a different matter that both of us got equally surprised and ran in opposite direction

. Not to mention the evil Rhesus monkeys which have chased me quite a few times dared I ventured in their territory unknowingly!

Langurs are however a bit docile compared to them. Numerous times they have followed me jumping from one branches to another without getting too close or aggressive..may be just out of curiosity

Few times I have encountered Peacock, owlet, Falcon etc perched high up on the dried tree.. And ya not to forget the occasional Brown Hares, mongoose, snakes, monitor lizards

One thing I have noted is that the Indian black naped hare are quite big in size as compared to the regular domesticated rabbits. Not to mention that they are excellent runners and once they run into a bush its almost difficult to spot them! Foxes are also quite common out here in the Jungle. Last year we used to watch them play in a small patch of grass land which lies in between our hostel and forest. We would enjoy our evening tea sitting on the staircase and watch baby foxes play around the fox hole as their parent watched them from a distance. But sadly few idiots (friends)

ventured quite nearby one day to get a better look and the foxes along with their kids changed their location

All in all its a wonderful place to enjoy wild life but sadly I have left my DSLR in my hometown..that's why unable to take pics of these wonderful animals & birds which I encounter almost daily!
