Gift for dad - Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon

Post by conty1 » Thu Aug 01, 2013 8:55 pm

After years of back and forth between India and the US, dad has decided that this time he has moved here for good. To make his stay here a little 'better', I bought him a good old Beretta. Here's a couple of pics:

Thats a damn sweet gun. I hope one day my kids are like you. :)
What are the specs on her? Choke, barrel length, over all weight, barrel weight, stock dimensions, etc
Any particular reason you went for a 686 as compared to one of the newer offering of beretta?
Say the 692 or the prevail or perennia?
Regards,

That is nice.
Let me know if you put yourself up for adoption. :)

Is this the case that you have foisted your own choice on your father ? If it is of your father`s choice then it must be okay with both of you. I am writing this because my son foists his choice on me, whether it is mobile phone or shoes or laptop.I already have three weapons so he can not foist another weapon of his own choice on me.Children have this firm belief that they the know better than parents[you excluded]. 686 is indisputably an excellent weapon.
regards

Regards,
AB, here is the details:
Model: 686 Silver Pigeon I
Gauge: 12
Chamber (in): 3"
Rib (mm): 6X6
Chokes: MC
Barrel Length (in): 28

As far as why not one of the other Beretta offerings, dad really had narrowed his choices down to the Brownings and Berettas. And when we went to Cabela's, he thought the 686 fit him the best. Him being left handed and all, he has some extra considerations!

Cheers,
Amit

Nice !!!!!!!

I got some extra chokes from my old times, when I had money.

Don't buy new chokes for your 686 Beretta.

Do the 686s come with a cast on stock?
