Dear IFG-ians:
Thanks to the encouragement of Cherian K.K., an active member of this forum, I have joined the Kottayam Rifle Association. Nothing fancy like the Thodupuzha (Idukki) club. But then, these guys make it up with unbelievable support, advice and camaraderie. Just been there 2 Sundays, with the kids (12 and 17) with an open sight springer. Everybody was helpful, especially our forum member. That’s why, though there is a rifle club in my hometown Ernakulam, I chose to drive an hour to an IFG-ian to support my kids. Thanks Cherian a.ka. sachin, and thanks to IFG for putting us in touch through this forum.

The office is currently in the Kottayam Public Library building opposite the Kalpaka Supermarket.

Recently held the District shooting championship on the 6th and 7th of this month.

I am new to this group and I would like to know about the procedures involved in joining Kottayam Rifle Association. Furthurmore, I have intentions to persue take shooting as a hobby. Please help me with your suggestions,

One of the friendliest group of shooting enthusiasts anywhere in the country. Gents like Mr Cherian and Mr Alex take time to personally coach the newbies. They have good collection of CZs, Air rifles, pistols for those willing to learn. Also there is no shortage of ammo !
