Re: Celebrating Brihaji's 75th Birthday
Hi Guys...
> From the bottom of my heart I THANK "EACH ONE OF YOU" for your good wishes
> I dare admit it was truly one of the best I have ever had...
> The surprise & suspense was overwhelming - when Moin called me last Friday giving me a couple of hours notice for a Get-together of the Mumbai IFG Churi Mochi Gang - Venue - US Club courtesy "Brigadier Lancemen".
> Heavy rains & traffic jams led to a change of Venue - which now was the Army Club in Colaba (Mumbai)
> Apart from the regulars meeting Lanceman & Asish for the first time was like meeting old school mates - such camaraderie(it can happen only with IFG)
> After a couple of spirited thrist quenchers accompanied by delicious kababs came the Big Surprise - A huge Cake with generous toppings & inscribed on top was "Happy Birthday Briha" - I was literally rendered speechless
> At the behest of the gang I had to cut it with my newly acquired Buck 110 Hunting Folder which I coincidentally was carrying with me to show it to the gang.
> What happened next swiped me off my feet - A huge parcel appeared from nowhere that turned out to be my Birthday Gift - A Dremel with attachments
> I kept staring at it - Couldn't say a word - Just picked up the tumbler of Old Monk lying next to me & downed it in ONE GULP.
> The sound of applause that followed was deafening - Pics were taken after which we settled down to swap stories / anecdotes / experiences / jokes & what have you.
> A few more spiritual imbibement & it was time to split - till we met again
> An inner voice asked me "Old Boy" what have you done to deserve this?
>The smiling faces of the CMG seemed to say - "Its all in the BELONGING to the family - Brothers in Arms & Blades" - Long Live the Tradition!!!
> Thanks a TON fellas for an experience I'll cherish for a long long time
