Added a saber to knife collection

Post by englishtown » Sun Jul 07, 2013 4:57 pm

i just came across a seller on ebay.in. bought sm pocket knives frm him. then he also offered me a 12.5 inch long blade saber with 4.5 inch handle which can be attached with saber cover. and doubles up as a sort of sword. Blade is nt razor sharp but can be taken to workshop for sm modifications. suggestions invited.

I spent 1550/- for this. including shipping.

Looks more like a gupti. The blade isn't too well attached to the grip I think.

Bro i appreciate your interest , i have also purchased a similiar one ..this one of the cheap quality blades which is good for just spreading butter ...please dont take this otherwise i am just making you aware ...i was fooled seeing the pic ..i bought this for 600 rs including courier ..this is available in the markets of kolkata for somewhere around 200-300 rs .
I have no intention to degrade your choice or demotivate you but i too was a victim . In that amount you could have got a muela knife.

Hey
Its a Gupti.
Chinese made. Available in outside Golden temple in shops for 150-200 Rupees and now also comes in different sizes.

Thanks
Karan

Another shop is near jallianwalla bagh on way to Durbar Saheb the shpkeeper has exellent types of sabres ,chenese made Kirpans cconvertible kirpans AT reasonable rate but during Holamohala a nagani spear I have seen with from a Nihang selling can never forget so sharp for just 130 rs I avoided it as it was risky without covering it as it could injure.
