Hello folks

Post by htanna » Sat May 12, 2007 12:10 pm

Hello all,

I came to know about this site just today morning in the newspapers.

I have a passion for weapons, specially hand guns (since childhood) but possess none. I am married and we have a 2.5 years old daughter. I am working with a MNC as the Head - IT.

Looking forward to interact with you all.

Regards,
Hursh Tanna

Hello Hursh,

Welcome to IFG. You'll find it addictive.

Nice variation in the spelling of your name (assuming it could alternatively be spelt as Harsh). Makes it phonetically much more unambiguous.

G'day,

Shurjo

Welcome aboard Hursh :)

Does Baroda have a shooting range or a rifle club?

Cheers!

Welcome Hursh!

Don't worry about not owning a gun - if youa re truly interested, you will not only work until you get one, but also involve the good lady in your life in shooting and get her to buy one along with you, and, in the future, get your little girl involved as well. :D There are plenty of threads here from beginning shooters and you would enjoy going through them and finding information that suits you. Just find time to start and then practice hard.

Join up at a rifle club and start shooting in whatever discipline you enjoy. And, as an IT guy, when you make it to the US, just give us guys here a shout and we'll tell you about the various options available depending on where you are.

Abhijeet,

They do have a rifle club in Baroda. I remember at the Chennai Nationals in 82, I think, as well as at the Kolhapur nationals the year after, there were a number of shooters from Baroda. Unless the club has closed down since then, it should be functioning.

Cheers!
