Interesting and intriguing for a knife novice like me. Congratulation.

Sad Himalayan Imports that Mack recommends do not send to India. We had our share of issues getting blades from Khukri House Nepal. Of what is available from knife centre try the Kabar Khukri Machete or the Cold Steel Khukri Machetes. The spine thickness on fhese are not much but you can probably get away by labelling them as agricultral implements given the 9 inch blade length restrictions. The best bet would be the Condor Khukri. One of the member whos not very active hefe has one and had posted some pics. LOOKS good spec wise and is very good value for money. Hope this helps.

Cool shavers, bro! Now you gotta post a pic of yourself liberally behung with your cutters!

Let us know if you could get the Khukri and a review. I have kinda given up on getting one!

Moin, KKHI does ship to Darjeeling / Siliguri, now to find someone there and use Amul makkhan liberally! I do have a CFA in Siliguri, but I don't want it rumored in the company that I am colleting arms & ammunition for a "hostile takeover" (you know how people are in this country!!)
Cheers!

There is a khukri shop in Darjiling, first floor market place, can't remember it's name, he does some good stuff. I bought an 8" khukri from him, it is made from a railway coach spring, about 5mm thick. He had a 10" version too but i found that too unweildy for my use. Have used it extensively for rough stuff and it seems to hold up well. Will post some pics soon. Am sure he would be on the net, try him.
