Indian O/U in Delhi

Post by inplainsight » Wed Jun 12, 2013 6:33 pm

Hello,

Does anyone know where I can purchase an Indian O/U in Delhi?

What can I expect to pay for one?

I tried calling a few places and none of them had any for sale.

Thanks.

Call a few arms dealers.
Tell them you want to block your license only.
You might get interesting hammered shotguns.

I know for sure that kohli in darya ganj used to keep O/U from Jammu, dont recall the exact mfr name from Jammu, But I am sure you should be able to get O/U in delhi, make few calls around.

Price that i knew about 2 yrs back ranged from 35K-55K.

Thanks guys. Been making calls all day. Spoke to Kohli folks, they might have Indian O/Us but will not tell me anything more than that over the phone!

@Safarigent I plan on visiting a few folks on Saturday, will try and post pictures of some of the more interesting options that I see :)

if you want to just block the license, then you should have lot of option, usually the munger made 26 inch one, you should be able to get withing 25K, it all depends on your bargain skills.
I sold mine, for meager 5k:)just 2-3 shots fired, so second hand indian made gun shouldnt cost more than 10k if buying from a shop, if buying from any individual then :D you know how much to pay.

Cool. I'm not sure if I should purchase a junk DBBL for 5 or 10 grand or pick up an Indian O/U for 35K+

Does it make sense, spending 35 - 50 grand on an India O/U? Are they decent enough to be used at the range, or am I better off using the rental?

try SN kohli in Chandni chowk
So many times, it happens too fast
You trade your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive

It's the eye of the tiger
It's the thrill of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge
Of our rival
And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night
And he's watching us all with the
Eye of the tiger

see it depends, what i suggested above is when you just want to buy to block your license.

If you are able to get into a decent thing in rent, where it is available to you when you need it and its fitting you, then nothing like, put your money in ammo and practise and qualify for import, splly now when you can be eligible to import if you hit the score even in state level competition, I recall this rule has being recently changed, but you can check on NRAI site and other Sr members.
