XL, I would love to have a Dillon like Baljit. But one thing is, I will need something small for space reasons and the other thing is, my wife and I are trying to swing the money for a large screen TV. So other big purchases are on hold until the move and the big TV are taken care of.

The Lee stuff was not available when I got the Rockchucker. But by and large, their products make so much sense. Their carbide dies are very reasonable and their factory support is exceptional. Despite what I already have, for any new reloading purchase, I always go to Lee first, nowadays, to see whether any of their products fit the bill for me.

This is the little Lyman Tru Line Jr with a new turret plate that takes the 7/8" dies. There are plates that will take 6 dies, which is what I want. I would by a Lee Turret Press, but it only has 4 stations, and I need at least 5.

Is the primer readily available here?
I would rather hit my target gently than miss hard.

The standard shotshell primer used in the US is the #209 primer
If you mean; is it available in India? I would say that one would be very unlikely to find 209 primers in India.

Thank's Timmy and XL,I am also using a carbide dies for all my handguns and my .223 Rem rifle, also those dies made by Dillon as well.Nothing wrong with Rockchucker press just take a lot's more time then Dillon and Lee. :lol:

Sorry guy's i can't find my dam camera today :deadhorse: , as soon as i find my dam camera,i'll take some pictures of my shotgun press and post those pictures here.

@ Arjun..... it's your my friend but you have come here to pick this thing up because i am going to ship. ROTFL

If i recall, non-availability of primer is the limiting factor here.Also you have to cast your own bullets.

Primer is a restricted item of some sort.

I know some people who reloaded shotgun cartridge.But all of them says one word that their barrel of gun lost its glossy finish and turned to rusty look.So I think without good powder reloading in Indian scenario will spoil the gun.They are saying muzzle loading cap can be used for primer.but sourcing good quality powder is next to impossible.

You do not get smokeless powders in India. And primers except those used for muzzle loaders. And bullets. So, reloading for rifles and pistols is completely out.

The problem here sounds like it is related to not cleaning the gun properly right after shooting it, rather than what was used to reload the hulls.

I have to say that I detested reloading and not having to do so after the UK pistol ban was introduced was the only good thing about the ban as far as I was concerned.

You are correct, Timmy. For many cleaning a gun is either a very rare event or a less informed exercise. I know of many guns that rotted away due to bad storage.

I do use kf cartridges in my gun and didn't tried to reload a cartridge using black powder. One question if I clean the barrel well after shooting do my barrel retains its glossy mirror finish???????.It's a real pain for eyes to see a rusty look barrel... :(
Can anybody please advice how to clean gun barrel which
use black powder to reload shell naming the chemicals preferably available in india?.
