Yesterday was a lucky day.
Went on a trek near Rishikesh.
and
What do we see up in the mountains?
Ghoral / mountain goat.
No Guys
It's WILD Elephants. Who says elephants can't climb mountains.
Stayed a safe distance behind them.
I have been charged at, twice before. You will be surprised at how fast they run.

aftabkhan,
Beautiful photos! For some reason, I was very moved by them.
How far away were you from the Tiger?
Can you share some exposure info on your photos, please. Also can you tell us a little about your equipment.

Prashant,
Has it become rare to see Elephants in the wild?

Haji,
Good stuff.
Gave me middle finger and left ............

They like to do that, don't they. ROTFL

Bodhijobs,
Thumbs Up!

No. This time of the year it's raining elephants . Infact on a trip to Cheela Range (Rajaji N P) a couple of weeks ago I saw more than 20 elephants in 4 hours. During summers many of the Elephants migrate through the corridore from Corbett to Rajaji and return to Corbett in the winter.
So if you want to see wild elephants. Its Rajiji in the summers and Corbett in the winters.

The Red Neck Vulture we spotted day before is Rare . Very Rare.

From the erupting lower canines and the body colour. That looks like a young tiger who walked up to you Aftab.
What amazing photos. Thanks for sharing.

Sir,
Thanks for your appreciations.
Me and my friends (a group of 4 persons) were on a holiday trip to OOTY. We decided to visit MUDUMALAI tiger reserve for having a glimpse of tiger. A guard near reception told us that the forest is home of more than 40 tigers. It was a lucky day for me. we saw 4 tigers. The tiger in above picture was about 25 meters far from our jeep.

I have two DSLRs, Canon EOS T2i (550D) and Nikon D5100 with basic lense.
Canon EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM
Canon EF70-200mm f/4L USM
Canon 50mm F1.8.

Prashant
Superb photographs, if you have taken them out then your photography skills are getting better than your shooting skills. :D
In ny case you will have to admit, that the photos will remain for a long time, but those you have shot will not. Just my thoughts no criticism. :D

Regarding the elephants, strange that they climb hills, never thought them to like climbing up or down

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.
