Don't want to add insult to injury but why on earth do you believe that you "pushed too hard"? Switches are not supposed to break. Just wonder if Steyr are using mass produced "Made in China" switches of dubious quality.

Dear all
I have extremely happy news and also a big thank you for all those who read the post and replied and helped . Got a call from syndicate innovation ( Indian dealer for steyr) . Steyr is sending across a replacement part free of cost and I will have to return the damage part. No charges at all as the same is under warranty :-) yipeeee

Something's are indeed right with the world

Congratulations and good for you. Probably someone is there with the decency to respect and back up the company warranty.

Glad that things worked out. When you pay for the best, I guess there is a reason for it.
