How About Some Western Style Sharp Shooting?

Post by Vikram » Mon May 06, 2013 11:50 pm

The video is recorded from a TV screen but clear enough to boggle your mind. Watch out for the kid blazing away with a SXS shotgun. He is FAST with that gun.

You will meet some great people there.
My daughter and I enjoyed the ones we went to tremendously.

Did someone mention Sergio Leone!!!

Just finished watching Once Upon A Time In The West and I think it's one of the best specimens of the genre even though the others starring Clint are more famous. What interplay of long periods of silence, close ups, tension culminating in breathtaking gun fights.

I guess there are many schools of western movies but for me Sergio Leone is definitely king of this genre. One can identify so many sequences and characters in Sholey which are either inspired or plagiarised from some or the other Leone creation.

Some interesting and recurring themes in his films - the well, lead character stuffing something into another's mouth and lastly the mention of Judas by a not so negative character.

Whoopers - Jeepers :D
Those clips reminded me of the good old Wild West Movies starring Gary Cooper, James Stewart, Audy Murphy, John Wayne et al.
Couldn't locate any Commanche Warrior riding bareback with his Tomahawk screaming for a scalp

I would rather hit my target gently than miss hard.

Bowman,
Good God ! I don't believe this. Only last evening, while on a stroll near the local market, I found a DVD of Once Upon A Time In The West on sale for 60 bucks and picked it up. Last evening !!!
Well, I am a movie buff and have about a thousand of all genres and languages but this one was missing from my Wild West collection of 50 odd movies. Thanks mate, for the early review.

There are plenty videos wherein one can see a lot of good and fast shooting. The reason I posted the first video was the phenomenal speed with which that kid was shooting and reloading the SXS. And of course he was super fast with the lever rifle too.

Vikram,
The boy is indeed fast. But having watched so many videos on Youtube I think Bob Mundane is the fastest of them all.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... ecwg#t=18s

I am sure many of you have seen Mundane in action. But how man could actually see him shoot ?

Cheers

TC
