Wow if i am getting it right they have a 235 pound pull bow? The first figure is the draw length? How doth one measure this Sir Macky?

235# @ 30" and 247# @ 32"

Wow, indeed! As far as I know, there is only one person currently alive, who would be able to draw this bow to 32" (to the ear).

The fact that these yew bows are able to take such poundage is astounding.

The bowyer is using a machine to draw the bow and stop it anywhere between the brace height and 32". A Salter scale (very highly regarded) is suspended from the bow string and attached to the machine and this gives the reading in Pounds.

and i struggle with 44# :roll:

wonder what would have been the poundages of indian steel recurve bows???
