Hi Guys,

I want your experience and advise, I am a normal office going guy ( with extreme love of guns), I carry an IOF 0.32 revolver to work and everywhere.

My biggest problem is conceal carry it. Well, I dont want to dress around my gun and I usually wear semi formals to work - Full sleeves shirt, tucked in formal trousers, formal shoes, leather belt (forgot to mention brief and boxers ) and it nearly impossible to conceal carry the rev comfortably in this set up, so usually the guns gets its place in my laptop bag; which I dont like.


With this setup please share your experience and advice as to how to conceal carry comfortably the IOF 0.32 rev ( which I consider is a decent weapon, change the factory grip with smaller grip)

Haha that will work better if your paunch conceals it.

An inside the pants holster will not work. I have one for my Mauser and good 2-3 inches stick out.

I think you will have to figure out a way to dress around the weapon (shoulder holster) or go for something smaller that can be put in an ankle holster.

Let me share my view. Over the years I have carried many handguns with barrel lengths ranging from two inches to six inches. I am 5'10", weigh around 75 kilos and have a waistline measuring 34 inches with a little paunch (recently adopted )
With the dress code perfectionist1 has to stick to I could never carry a IOF of Webley revolver on the waist with the shirt tucked in. Its impossible to FEEL COMFORTABLE all day and and not let people know you are packing. The bulk will show and even if you manage to fit the revolver in an inside-the-pants holster, tuck the shirt in and then pull out part of the shirt to cover the bulk (something many Indians do to camouflage their tummy) you could never pull out the revolver on time if you ever needed it in an emergency situation.
Whenever I had to carry a revolver of this size I used to wear loose waist length Hawaiian shirt hiding my belt and inside the pants holster. A weapon of this size cannot be strapped to the ankle either. Another alternative is to simply slip it in the front trouser pocket. But again, the bulk will be too prominent to hide in an office. I guess perfectionist1 is doing the best he can. Its easier to take out a revolver from a laptop bag than from an inside the waistband holster covered under a formal shirt, that could be moist and cramped at the end of the day in this hot Indian summer. Its always better to be practical.

Agree with TC in winter its easier but you can carry a small pouch or a bag over the shoulder...It needs to be close to you within reach. Tucking in waist band sweat gonna effect the gun..

Thanks for your replies and sharing the experience.

The funniest part is that (LOL) I have to then lock my laptop bag inside the drawer, since I have to go to other's cabins or to conference (well some lasting for hours ) and have to protect the revolver.

I have still not found any solution, I go hit by this video today - I dont know if it works, because still the buldge will be obvious from the shirt.

From Legal perspective in UP, is it legal to open carry in market etc. please suggest.

Thanks ABM, But a belt pouch will not be appropriate in the corporate office set up.

Guys- please keep your experiences flowing in......... These are the real and practical problem that everyone with a handgun faces.

Have you thought about getting your trousers altered to add a larger pocket?

Have a look at belly band holsters or one of those tactical shirts. Slim the grips of the revolver,bob the hammer and round the grip (cut ,weld and grind) and it should be more concealable....and while you are at it,get rid of the stupid safety.

I am seriously considering of getting slimmer grip will go to Kashmere gate, Delhi tomorrow and check out for a better wooden grip with chequering.

Get rid of safety - it is anyway unsafe Sir, If I tuck the gun IWB, most of the time to my horror, it automatically pushes to fire mode since it is just a push bar and by body movement it slides IN to fire mode. Useless.....

A loose pants with big inside pocket- wont solve the problem, since either the grip has to be out and in shirt tucked in, it will be visible. While if I let the gun dangle inside the pocket- how would I retrieve it in case of need.
