What guns have you shot?

Post by Skyman » Sat May 04, 2013 10:26 am

What guns have you shot over time? List them, along with your thoughts regarding them.

Me -

One .22 AR ( Friends )

Diwali reel pistol. ROTFL

I am sure many of you have been more fortunate.
I would rather hit my target gently than miss hard.

skyman diwali reel pistol was my heart throb  and after wards due to my service back ground i hav fired

1.7.62 slr quite accurate, kicks like a mule heavy on maintence
2.AK 47 good cqb weapon ,low on maint
3.9mm carbine till 50mtrs quite accurate, very ureliable and unsafe weapon u cannot have a round in the chamber as ready
4.INSAS 5.56 quite accurate till 400 mtrs..but the problem of stoppages plague the weapon
5.7.62 LMG & MMG an awesome weapon very lethal but high maint & stoppages
6..32 rev & pistol IOF good & reliable for a poor man like me
7.and last but not the least an assortment of 12bore,.315,30-06,.22 all indian make and they have been fairly nice experience
8.ohhh sorry i forgot through an sf friend their latest tavor and uzi both are awesome but uzi requires a lot of practice atleast for me and aug-styr sniper and svd sniper both are awesome in their own rights
i hope this will be all till new procurement by the govt..

Do you refer to the 9mm sterling sub or the sten gun?

Any reason why stoppages occur in Indian weapons according to you?

Fired Uzi on full auto...lucky fellow.

I've fired my air rifle, one IOF .22, one .30* Springfield and have held and was going to shoot a H&H 500 NE, but was stopped because the recoil might be too great.

eh forgot em all , but most enjoyable was the 105mm , please try not to fire from the shoulder as you may not have one left.

I have fired indian made ( Calcutta made ).22 Air rifles. None of them belonged to me .

My Uncle's 12 gauge SxS DBBL with 28 or 30 inch barrel . Four rounds .

A .32 ACP Walther PPK , which kept jamming after every two rounds . Fired a total of six rounds with it . It belonged to a contractor who worked under my Dad .

@ gladiatorgarg

When You say stoppages , do you mean jamming ? What would you say the reasons for it ?
And was it a UZI SMG ?

Regards

It's okay , if you disagree with me .
I can't force you to be right .

Not much compared to Gun Gurus out here:(

An assortment of 12 gauge SxS DBBL
Webley Scott.Mark IV Revolver
BSA and Winchester .22lr Rifles
IOF 30-06 Rifle
Many many .22 & .177 Air Rifles (Both Indian & Imported)

In India because of the stupid gun laws, unless & until you are in army/law enforcement any kid from US with little interest in firearms would have shot more types of rifles/handguns then you can dream of in your entire life time..

I have shot weapons all owned by me over the time.
1. Star Spain SBBL 12 bore- one hell of a kicker- was too light.
2. Beretta 12 Ga side by side Pigeon 26 inch- a sweet bird gun.
3. .22 BRNO Mod 2-- about 5000 rds- old reliable.
4. 30-06 Remington Mod 700 ADL- perhaps the most accurate Rifle- with confirmed shot at 800 paces.
5. .308 Mauser with a Zeiss Diavari 2.5-10 x-- great rifle but ran out of ammo.
6. .22 S& W Mod 17-- perhaps the best .22 arm.Sold by me
7. .22 S & W Stainless steel .22-- not shot much now with me.
8. My sweet beauty Beretta 12 Ga- O/U S56E-- kept new for my son.
