Shooting Legend Tom Knapp Passes Away

Post by Vikram » Sat Apr 27, 2013 3:26 pm

You all might have heard his name or at least have seen his fantastic, awe inspiring exhibition shooting videos. It is indeed a great loss for the shooting world. He was truly an exceptionally talented man and a great ambassador for the sport. RIP Mr. Knapp!

The shooting world lost a great man today. Shooting Star Tom Knapp passed away this afternoon. Tom reinvented exhibition shooting almost 30 years after the passing of Herb Parsons. Tom was an inspiration to generations of shooters and he will be missed.

May his soul rest in peace.

Read a couple of articles in American Rifleman. Thanks for sharing the video Vikram.

Thanks Vikram,
I am sorry to say, that I had never heard of the great man before! Thanks to you, I got to witness some amazing shooting. He must be either in his ealry seventies or very late sixties. Either way, I am inspired.
Best Regards

He death is premature as he was only in his early to mid-sixties. He still was launching ten clays into the air repeatedly with his hand. Apart from being a great shooter, he was also known to be very nice in person.
