Hi everyone


I wish to present my latest gun.


THE RAJMA REMINGTON

I saw some videos on you tube regarding making of homemade compressed air guns.
Based on the same, I managed to make my own compressed air gun.
It’s a smooth bore gun, which fires Rajma pellets.
It consists of an iron pipe (which acts as a barrel), an old pichkari tube ( which is used to store compressed air), a PVC pipe connector( PVC pipe that one can find at home which connects wash basin tap to the main water line), and a ball valve ( which acts as a trigger). An air valve (motorcycle tube air valve) is fixed at one end of the compressed air chamber and on the other end a ½” hexagonal pipe connector is welded, as one can see in the picture. All the joints are sealed with M Seal.
The entire setup is mounted on a wooden frame and held together with nuts and bolts.
The range depends on the volume of air present inside the chamber, and with 10 pumps, it fires till 40 feet.
Once the trigger is open, one can hear the air gushing out of the barrel with great force.

first of all,

Hats off to such a innovative mind :D

We need such minds to carry India towards Top of the world...

Can I also know the range of ur Rajma Remington, along with how u feed rajma into the barrel :D

How do you fill the cylinder/pichkari tube with air? What is the diameter of the barrel bore (what type of pipe did you use) Or is that a trade secret? :D

the gun is muzzle loader.....the air is fed through the valve which is at the end of the chamber....the air is compressed with the help of a cycle pump.... :cheers:

the pichkari tube is filled with a cycle pump.....roughly 10 times pumping is required to fill it up....the dia of the barrel is about 9-10 mm....the barrel( iron pipe) is a part of an old broken lamp..........I could have used a plastic pipe also but was unable to find such a pipe........

This is indeed a very good idea and I can describe how exactly the same basic design can be used to make a ball bearing gun with higher pressures. But I am guessing the design details would be illegai. (anyone watched the movie "No Country for Old Men"?) And unsafe. So let me just stop by congratulating you on your pure innovation, and humorous application as a Rajma gun.
