Just got a smartphone, need help with widgets

Post by Mark » Wed Apr 03, 2013 6:55 am

Well, I suppose it is more of an "average intelligence phone", it is a Samsung S390G and runs java J2ME.

I am trying to find a wifi tool that shows signal strength and haven't been successful so far, does anyone have a suggestion? I don't need to search any out, I just need to find the best positioning at a couple places that are at the outer fringe of an existing wifi network.

Thanks!

Wifi signal strength can vary in the same place and I have found that the best method is trial and error. That is to fire up the browser and type a url and see where the page loads decently.

There must be a ton of apps for wifi strength.I am a noob when it comes to smart phones but if you have android there are a lot of free apps for that.Your kids should know best.

The wifi sign should should show up on the top bar near the signal indicator, this will show you the signal strength of the wifi available. If you want to check the speed of the network, you can download speedtest app or visit their website speedtest.net
