Does the 126 in the video refer to the weight of the pellets/projectile? If so,it would hurt. The fellow firing the shotgun seems to expect that(pain) when it goes off.

That`s very good Winnie.
Yes, the Canardier is chambered for the 12-bore 3 1/2" magnum but, in addition to that, it has the - possibly unique - feature that it can fire both barrels simultaneously........As the 3 1/2" magnum max load is 63 grams that means that it can put 126 grams of shot into the air with one pull of the trigger - that`s 4.4 oz ( 1994 grains ! ) - which is what is being done in the videos.

Lets do a little math. A 12 bore 3.5" cartridge generates 55.62 ft.lbs of recoil energy, X2= 111.24. This is almost like firing a .577NE @ 127.5ft.lbs recoil energy.Grumpy wrote:That`s very good Winnie.

When I shot Shooter's 10 bore 3" cartridges, I knew that the recoil was going to be heavy. I was braced for it.When I did touch the shot off, the recoil was not that bad on the shoulder(actually not bad at all probably due to the muscle/fat), but made me realise that I did something naughty. My head was jolted and I could sense a little shock wave going through it. Imagine touching off both barrels.

That`s not math, that`s simple arithmetic ..............
Do you think that the recoil produced IS actually the sum of the two loads ? I have my doubts ...... Can`t be bothered to work it out and there are too many unknown variables that one would have to guesstimate.
It`s a humpy so-and-so - no doubt about that.
