Navdeep the irony is - a lot of these Samurai sword replicas are manufactured in India, but are for export only.... possible your friends brought back something that was originally made in Amritsarngrewal";p="19087 wrote: I know of few guys who brought in those samurai swords replicas commonly sold in Chinatown. Rest its luck of the draw who you run into while boarding and deboarding.

Re: Do you EDC a knife or multitool?
I`ve carried the same Japanese made Whitby & Co. clip point folder for about 20 years. The blade is a little shorter than it was originally due to me snapping the point off.........probably using the knife as a screwdriver. I reground the blade and it hardly notices.
I`ve carried Swiss Army Knives but found that I didn`t use the tools because they were too small or too flimsy......and the versions that were big enough to be useful are too bulky to keep in the pocket. I have an original Leatherman but it`s far too bulky and heavy for the pocket ..... and it`s uncomfortable, even painfull to use when you need to apply effort so it lives in its holster and is used when required.
I`m looking for another pocket knife now. Something small, comfortable to use and strong. I don`t want to spend a fortune but don`t want junk......I have a short-list and it`ll be interesting to see what I end up with.

Mine is a Swiss Cyber tool in the city. On outings its a Gerber Suspension multi tool along with my Spyderco Dragonfly or the Spyderco Endura 4.
Used to carry the Gerber 'Trendy' in my back pocket for a very long time till one day it went with my Jeans to the 'Dhobhi'. I was in mourning for a week till the nice guy returned it. After that I have been quite sentimental about that little blade.

I carry these knives:
* Spyderco Bug knife on my keyring
* Benchmade 551 H2O PE in my backpack.
I carry these flashlights:
* Arc-AAA on my keyring
Yeah, that's daily to office - and I work with a software company.

Re: Do you EDC a knife or multitool?
I carry the following as EDC:
A c55bx black knife-tool from leatherman
http://www.leatherman.com/product/c55Bx%20Black
And/Or
A Leatherman Surge
http://www.leatherman.com/product/Surge
And
A Finex LD01 flashlight alongwith my pocket First aid kit.
I know its a bit odd to carry such big tools as EDC, but with the restrictions in this country, I am ok presently with this since surge has a bigger blade and saw without it being a "weapon". It may one day help during any EMS situation. The surge has helped us once during a car problem on the expressway, while the c55bx is presently only opening envelops at the office.
Cheers!

This is what I carry when ever I venture out in the city I live in.
When I am in the forests, I carry a walking stick, water bottle and a torch.

Indi Astra the Leatherman tools are always a good EDC option. The Ld01 is a very good performer at the given size and power source of 1 x AAA, add to this multiple outputs!
Marksman, do not tell us that you carry ALL of this stuff everyday! Thats great man!!
Do you mean to say that you find the forest safer and just carry the walking stick, flashlightand water bottle without not all the rest?
As it is these days the forests are much safer than the town.
