"higonokami" - a modern rendering

143mm open, 93mm closed, 26mm wide, 12mm thick with a 63mm blade.
saw blade steel edge quenched, jute micarta, ss pin.
have retained the essence of a "higonokami" - single piece handle (yes the jute micarta is one piece 8)), simple construction - only 3 parts (blade, pin, handle), blade tang rests on the handle (open position)
