Izula VS Eskabar VS BK Necker

I was looking at these knives for CC.The izula is the smallest and i am inclined towards it.The necker is 0.5 in and the eskabar .75 in bigger but have the same blade lengths.The izula is almost 0.35 in shorter at the blade.

I know a few members on the forum own these.Could you tell me how they are to live with, carry daily, and how well they perform?

Also, can some one coming in from the US check these in? Will customs charge for these small knives? They are available for aprox 40$.

First of all, don't have a fixed blade cc if you are in city zones - simply not required. You can, however, carry it in your backpack, but not directly on your body. I typically carried a folder in front jeans pocket.

I prefer the izula for its size. Yes, these can be checked in and customs does not care. I have got 3 folders and 1 fixed blade in one go, and at other time a jar of small blades (24 or so small folders, el cheapo), and things were fine. Just make sure the person also has the invoice if the customs questions for the value of the knife. Bringing a knife in via air is okay, and all normal import restrictions apply. However, the person bringing in should be a seasoned traveller, who can argue if required with the customs. Avoid women, and anyone who has self-doubts. And last but not the least, be prepared for a loss if the customs does indeed confiscate the blade. Also never use the word knife, but cutlery or camping tool is decent. I had to explain the customs officer why I go a knife from abroad - I bluntly stated we do not get good camping tools in India and I routinely camp in the hills, and so having a good knife was an invaluable rescue tool in case of problems. He got it, and I passed through fine.
