Mack will upload the specifications tonight. But my guess is that the blade length is about 5 inches.

Lolzz. No Chief and TcDa. I have handled the Pichok at Chiefs place and the pictures don't do justice. Superb blade and steel, it's razor sharp. Therefore the request for posting the macro close up.

Absolutely Mack ! You must have a dekko at this blade when ever are in Mumbai. !!

Amigos, I have been going through a rather challenging week. Came home from work at 2am yesterday. Just havent found time to be camera friendly. Will hopefully find some respite over the weekend and post the updates.

No worries, Slingshot. Do the needful when convenient but remember to photograph the sheath as well.

Moin, if I don't ever make it to Bombay, or any other city for that matter, it will be too soon.

Am adding some close ups of the Pichok for you. And a picture of the sheath as well. The blade steel has very beautiful purple and blue tints, flecked with lighter shades.

Mack, the sheath is very rudimentary. Almost like an afterthought. The leather is thin and there is a wooden insert that helps the blade to settle. Otherwise a highly forgettable and very risky carrying option. I wouldnt trust this sheath to hold this blade for even a week. Must be a ceremonial thing. I am sure that the actual sheaths that the Uzbecks carry are much better.

The blade though....is special :)

After reading your description, I hope the ceremony does not have anything to do with circumcision. Bloody handy if it does.
