Mack,
NE knows the gentleman and confirms his contributions. He also considers it an honour to be IFG's messenger. He also said he would find out if cash is preferable or some kind of equipment.
Meanwhile, I think we need to get this message to our members' notice as many may have not seen this or not know the fund raising aspect.
Best-
Vikram

That's one big hurdle out of the way. NE, thanks a bunch and we look forward to the details (cash/kind/both and where to send these).
We will have admin send out an e-mail to all members with an explanation and a link to this thread.
Thanks a lot, Vikram.

This is amazing work of dedication..wondered why India doesnt have a scheme or have NCC or boy scouts etc or college kids plant trees - the barren hills in HP could use some of this.
I am in for contribution and encouraging this
Cheers

One question Nitro.
What happens to this island in the monsoons?
I mean dosn't it get flooded. I have crossed the Bramhaputra a couple of times (when my father was posted to Shillong) and it's a massive river.
What happens to the wildlife then?

Hello IFGians,
I appreciate your idea to help Jadav. However, as we're raising fund, we need to also consider his actual requirement/desire rather than offering money for his extraordinary care for mother nature and his contribution to human kind to slow global warming.
Vikram- Thanks for informative post. Cheers.
