Hi everyone. I'm new here. I really want to add the gil hibben machette in the mentions. I really loved the hibben VI machette in john rambo (rambo 4). What do you think. I don't know how to post pictures on the forum. But you can search it on the google. :D

Bump for awesomeness by Moin.
One question for Moin.

These two Spyderco knives, the one from Hannibal and the other from Training day. Can these be used as a Keychain.
Would i have problems with the Mall security guards, specially multiplex guards?

I plan to buy an EDC, and these looks perfect. Specially the one from Hannibal.. I also keep a simple Victorinix, but I usually keep in the Car when I go to multiplexes

Hi Ribaalber, I dont know if the Spydies can be used as keychains and look like keychains. But I did find a solution for my EDC. I carry a Boker Subcom. It looks exactly like a key chain. Carry it everywhere except for airports where I put it in check-in baggage. No one in malls, hotels and other frisking areas, gives it a second look. Totally innocuous. Here are a few pictures. The Subcom is a very interesting defence tool as its almost like a sharp thumb. It wont do any serious damage but it might give you the element of surprise in a tight spot or even help you in getting away from a bad situation.

Here is an interesting video on its use :

Maybe you can use something like this or other options that do not look like knives, yet can be used.

Thank you Ribaalbar. The Harpy or the Police cannnot be cardied in Keychain. Victorinox ones or the one suggested by Slingshot are the best bet. The Boker that Slingshot has pointed to it a wonderful little fella and comes in many flavours including Titanium. The Harpy or the Civilian are not meant for EDC use. The Civilian infact comes with an instruction manual where it states that this knife is not meant foe every day tasks.

I have this in my pocket mostly, though I keep it my my car when I go to malls. Haven't tried to take it inside a mall, theatre or the metro though.
Is this legally allowed to take inside metro and other places?

Rebaalber,
Since this thread is only on knives featured in movies I will take the liberty of describing your victorinox as similar to the ones featured in popular American TV series Macgyver made in the mid 80s. It featured Richard Dean Anderson in the lead. The vics he mostly used in the series were the tinker, spartan and huntsman. Why did the hero carry only a vic to action ? Well, Macgyver never touched a gun and was not supposed to. His presence of mind and the victorinox were enough to send all the baddies to jail :D
