Re: Goodbye ITC!
Hey Gents,
I quit the stick about 6 years back from a habit of 40 a day ! It was the first and last new year resolution that I've ever kept but its also one I'm extremely proud of. Good on you for giving it a go. The going is going to be hard, the craving will be there, but if you shape your will the rest will follow. My dad keeps saying. " Quitting smoking is the easiest thing ever, I've done it so many times !"
Moral: Dont give up, if you fail once its not the end - try again and again. I finally quit on what was probably my 8th or 9th attempt !

Good for you Oggie. It is something to be proud of.
Hemant, I quit drinking cold turkey and I used to love the booze. I had a reason to quit and it was much easier than I thought. It has been over twenty years and I don't have any cravings or desire now.
Smoking, is a different story though. I have been at it since I was seventeen and it is extremely hard to quit. I have tried but failed. Will just have to keep trying.

Re: Goodbye ITC!
You guys are inspiring........!! Need tro check out the videos over the weekend!
Moin, what say we do a combined quit? Something like AA. In fact, some of my friends have "controlled" smoking to the extent that they don't smoke unless they are drinking. I don't intend giving up the liquid stuff (anyway, my monthly consumption is about 200 ml of hard and 1-2 beers, total).
Plus our esteemed FM has just given us one more reason!!
