Fishing in Kolar

Post by Pran » Mon Apr 30, 2007 10:43 am

I'm back from another fishing trip :) This time at a place in Kolar district.Made two trips to this lake and tried a water hole close by.Had two bites at the lake on my first trip and none on the second.Guess the place has been netted too often. On the whole the trip though fruitless, was fun.

Posting some pics...

Pran

PS:the photos were taken on a mobile phone.

The snake in the second pic looks like a Checkered keelback.

Very tragic. checkered keelbacks are non venomous and get stomped on sight. The locals need a King Cobra sighting to teach them to respect snakes.

Feel the same.

>The locals need a King Cobra sighting to teach them to respect snakes.

There are cobras here and people are more ruthless with them.Don't blame them- the nearest hospital's 20 km away.

btw, are king cobras found in South India?
