Re: My Collection
Welcome to IFG.
It would be nice if you could post a little introduction about yourself in the introduction section.
Could you also please give us a description of each of the guns shown in your photo?

Re: My Collection
Looks like (from Left to right) an under lever air rifle, a break barrel air rifle, as side lever air rifle and a 12 bore shotgun ...
All heavily used. The gun rack seems to have been made recently.
Good collection Vivek. Welcome to IFG

Re: My Collection
From Left to Right
Under lever Air rifle, Under lever Air rifle, Side lever Air rifle and a very very old Muzzle loader twin barrel,,,,,,The weapon stand was made by my carpenter ,and designed by your's truly,,,
The first and second air rifles are very old , probably more than 70 yrs of age,,,the third air rifle is of Chinese or Korean origin,,, as it was bought and brought by a merchant navy officer,,,,,sold to a Nawab sahib ,,who in turn sold it to me,,,,,
the 4th gun is my priced possession,,,, it is more than 180 yrs of age and as it is known to me ,,it was used against the British ,during the Mutiny of 1857,by my forefathers,,,,I am going to present this gun to my late father's battalion,,,
I will be uploading some more pictures very soon,,,,
Regards

Re: My Collection
Hi every one
I am posting some snaps of the muzzle loader, as promised earlier,
This gun , is our "Khandani Bandook",
It was used during the time of mutiny of 1857,as I have been told, by my grand father, and was also told that it belonged to his grandfather..
The gun is not in a good condition, but I have been trying to restore it ,somehow,,,,
The butt ,and the firing mechanism are in working order, but the wooden part ,where the barrel rests,is not in good shape,,
One of its hammer is missing,,,the make is not known,,,but definitely it is not Indian,,,
Can anyone help in telling me more about such guns,,,,
Regards
