Ah, thanks a lot guys.

Take a look at the leapers line of scopes. Most are for air rifles but are reasonably decent. I have a fixed power 3X40, I wanted a long scope that looked like the old Unertl line of scopes. The scope is quite decent and will hold it's zero even after being taken off and put back. I can shoot pint bottle necks at a lasered 62 yards from the kneeling posture with it. It comes with dovetail mounts and is a mil dot type (though not a true mildot).

If you can spend around $250 then see if you can grab a Leupold rimfire scope, that is the gold standard in my eyes.

Always found them to be highly over-rated and over-priced.

P.S.: The best, bang for the buck rimfire scope, that I have personal experience of, is the Weaver rimfire scope series. The 2.5-7x28 is a beaut and will save you $100.00 at the very least.

I haven't had one to compare and see the difference. But gosh do they look good on a web page. Strangely my old Bushnell Sportview still works well. Apologies for going o/t.

I have a very high regard for the Bushnell Sportview. Not sure if the current ones are made like the old ones but if they are, they are a decent scope for someone on a tight budget.

I have used the Leup and the Weaver mentioned above and the latter is better. Another good series to consider, in the $100.00 range, are the Nikon Prostaffs. I wouldn't buy one with the BDC option though as I like my reticles to be as uncluttered as possible.
