Swedish Excellent pump rifle
This is my Excellent pump rifle made in 1971.This was the latest model before production seazed the same year. This was the only model equipped with a mag on top of the barrel.Caliber is 5,4mm and it`s very accurate.Power is up to 12fpe.The rifle is in near new condition. The first Excellent came out in 1904 and was exported all over the world under the name "BAHCO) which stands for B.A.Hjort&Company.Enjoy pics.

Certainly unusual.
Can you show us some photos of how it operates?
Pellet loading port, etc.?
Thanks

Re: Swedish Excellent pump rifle
Hi
I will try to explain how it works although my English is far from good.
First of all you load the mag from the little hole over the barrel, then you pull the triggerguard backwords that pulls the little knob in sealing the air chamber.6 strokes on the pump is enough.Everytime you turn the little wheel on the side it`feeds a new pellet in to the bore. The mag holds 10 round pellets.
Hope you can read my peculiar English, otherwise you can hopefully have a good laugh out loud when you are reading it.

Re: Swedish Excellent pump rifle
Its very nice looking BB gun and looks well maintained past so many years,
Does it hold BB while pointing barrel downward once you feed pellet in bore?
Thanks for sharing though.

Thanks Briha
Yes,the pellet stays in the breech because there is a little springloaded knob holding it in place everytime you turn the right side wheel.

Re: Swedish Excellent pump rifle
Spedini, this earlier version is in amazing condition. I have only collected antique air rifles and pistols all these years and tried to keep them in pristine condition. But I must admit you have left me speechless. Thank you.Spedini wrote:This is an earlier version of the Swedish "Exellentgeväret".Made around 1955 and weighs a bit under 6 lbs (2,5kg).Power is 12fpe and caliber 5,4mm.It has another loading arrengement as you can see.
